Responding to popular demand the 2010 Texas Pete Twin City RibFest will present its first ever
grilling competition for backyard warriors. The competition will be conducted and judged by the
official Texas Pete Twin City RibFest rules and will be a "ribs only" contest.
Trophies and a $100 cash prize will be given in the following categories:
King of the Grill "Best Ribs"
King of the Grill "Best Sauce"
King of the Grill "Grand Champion" (best combined score)
Competitors will be required to pay a $10 entry fee which will pay for their meat.
The Texas Pete Twin City RibFest and the NC Pork Council will assign spaces and provide the
RapidXchange King of the Grill contestants with 4 racks of ribs each at sign in on Saturday,
June 12 at 10 AM. Contestants who choose to use gas will be provided with RapidXchange
canister. As detailed in the RapidXchange King of the Grill Judging Procedures and
Categories the judging will begin at 7:30 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 when officials with the
Texas Pete Twin City RibFest will collect each competitor’s entry. Winners will be announced
from the Main Stage at 9:30 PM.
