The Texas Pete Twin City RibFest chooses new beer sponsor
Winston-Salem, NC – Foothills Brewing and AKA Entertainment announced today that they have reached an agreement for Foothills to
be the beer sponsor and supplier for the Fifth Annual Texas Pete Twin City RibFest that will be held June 11-14 at the Dixie Classic
Fairgrounds. Foothills will replace Greensboro-based Natty Greene’s Brewery which sponsored the event in 2007 and 2008. According
to Allen McDavid of AKA, “While we have been pleased with our relationship with Natty Greene’s, it is really special that a Twin City event
has a Twin City beer.” Foothills Brewing’s Jamie Bartholomaus agrees, “Foothills is proud to be a part of the event. A local brewery
should be part of local events, and we couldn't be more pleased about Allen McDavid and the Ribfest asking us to provide the beer. We
hope the move to the fairgrounds will allow the RibFest to grow to its full potential and become a great annual festival Winston-Salem
can be proud of.
